Welcome to Kinlyr ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). The Kinlyr mobile application is owned and operated by Aramuse LLC (Delaware, USA).
Data Minimization Commitment
We operate on a need-to-know operational principle. We do not monetize your location history, and we strictly limit data collection to what is necessary for the Guardian Engine™ to function.
1. Data We Collect
To provide mission-critical protection, we categorize data into Mandatory and Optional tiers:
A. Mandatory Information (Required)
- Mobile Phone Number: Your unique identifier for account verification and linking with Trusted Contacts. Without this, the system cannot function.
B. Optional Information
- Name & Email: Used for account recovery and billing receipts.
- Medical Profile: (Blood type, conditions) Shared only with emergency responders if you explicitly trigger an SOS.
- Profile Photo: Helps responders identify you visually.
C. The Guardian Engine™ (Automatic Collection)
Our backend monitoring system processes specific telemetry to detect threats:
- Precise Location: Real-time GPS coordinates are collected (Foreground & Background) to allow the Guardian Engine™ to detect anomalies, such as stopping unexpectedly on a highway.
- Device Telemetry: Battery level and signal strength are logged to predict disconnection events.
- Motion Activity: Accelerometer data is processed locally and in the cloud to detect falls or crashes.
D. Evidence Vault
- User-Generated Content: Audio, video, and photos you explicitly capture or upload to the Evidence Vault are stored securely on our FIPS-compliant cloud servers.
2. Data Retention (Tiered Protocols)
We do not store data indefinitely. Retention is strictly determined by your active Subscription Tier:
- Location History: Retained for a specific duration (e.g., 24 hours for Free Tier, 30 days for Premium) based on your plan. After this period, location logs are automatically purged via our Scrub Protocols.
- Evidence Vault: Media is retained until you manually delete it or your account is terminated. If your subscription downgrades, data exceeding the new limit may be pruned.
- Account Deletion (Google Play Compliance): You may request full account deletion at any time via Settings > Delete Account in the App. Your Mobile Number and data are scrubbed from active servers immediately.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Active Monitoring: Analyzing sensor data to identify crashes, falls, or duress.
- Emergency Response: Dispatching SMS alerts to your Trusted Contacts with your location and status.
- Subscription Management: Processing payments via Google Play Billing.
- Legal Compliance: Complying with valid court orders or preventing imminent physical harm.
4. Third-Party Infrastructure
We do not sell data. We share strict subsets of data with infrastructure providers bound by confidentiality:
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (Amazon Web Services) - for secure hosting of the Guardian Engine™.
- SMS Gateways: (e.g., Twilio) - to deliver emergency text alerts.
- Maps & Geocoding: Google Maps Platform - to convert GPS coordinates into addresses.
5. Permissions & Security
The App requires ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, SEND_SMS, and RECORD_AUDIO to function. We employ TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest in the Evidence Vault.
